active learning means

child-focused learning
The Reggio Emilia approach is a child-centered, constructivist educational philosophy that emphasizes hands-on learning, exploration, and collaboration. It’s rooted in the belief that children are competent, capable, and full of potential, viewing them as active participants in their own learning journey. The approach encourages teachers to act as facilitators, guides, and advocates for children, creating a supportive and inspiring environment.

our programs

one room - infinite possibilites
Our carefully curated classroom serves as a vibrant, ever-evolving learning environment. Children ages 3 to 5 share the space, allowing younger children to learn by observation and older children to grow through leadership. We serve a maximum of 20 children, which allows for deeply personalized guidance and strong social-emotional bonds between children and educators. We use natural materials, flexible furniture, and child-led project areas to foster exploration and independent thinking. Every element—from light and color to texture and sound—is intentional.

WHAT WE OFFER

Project-Based Learning

Children co-create their curriculum with teachers by expressing interests and questions. Long-term projects emerge from these conversations and unfold organically, often integrating multiple disciplines.

The Role of the Teacher

Our teachers act as guides and co-learners. They observe closely, document learning, and ask thoughtful questions that inspire deeper inquiry and reflection.

Documentation & Display

Learning is made visible through photos, artwork, transcriptions, and journals that are displayed throughout the space. These artifacts tell the story of each child’s growth and thinking.

Family as Partners

Families are a vital part of our community. We foster open communication and encourage parents to participate in classroom life, special projects, and documentation.
